Rose Hsien is a young London-based violinist who plays on a Bergonzi violin with “a ravishing tone.” She was a prize winner or finalist in a string of competitions including the International Debussy competition at the Salzburg Mozarteum. Hsien is joined by pianist and composer Andrew Hsu who The New York Times called “incendiary.” Hsu is a doctoral candidate at The Juilliard School and frequently collaborates with Hsien in appearances at chamber music festivals.
This special concert was recorded live at the Skillman Studio in New York City exclusively for us. As husband and wife they have been able to practice together during the pandemic and we are delighted to bring their performance for you to watch on demand at your convenience beginning on the release date, and continuing for 30 days.
