Support AFCM
AFCM is financially strong, but as a small organization every year must raise a significant amount of money to ensure the continuation of programs. Due to the impact of the pandemic, our income and the value of our investments has fallen, making your donation even more vital to the organization’s continued success as we work hard to cut costs.
There are a number of ways you may direct your contributions to AFCM.
You may designate any gift you make to be “in honor” or “in memory” of a treasured person. We gratefully accept gifts in many forms: by check or credit card, at the box office at concerts, online, or by calling. We can assist you in giving securities or other assets.
AFCM is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. All contributions are tax-deductible.
You can make a contribution to:
Annual Fund
The majority of gifts to AFCM are directed to the Annual Fund. Your donation of any amount provides funding for the current season’s musician fees, hall rental, concert costs, video and audio recording, technology, and printed materials. It is because of the Annual Fund that we are able to hold ticket prices at a reasonable price and continue to present world class music. When you purchase a full-price ticket, you cover about half the cost of presenting a concert; when you buy discounted tickets (subscription), what you pay covers even less.
We appreciate your donation at any time of year, but will notify you of two Annual Fund giving opportunities during the year: In April, at the time of the new season announcement, and in November, for the Year-End Campaign, coordinated to meet IRS charitable contribution deadlines. Donations over $100 and all Year-End Campaign contributions are gratefully acknowledged in print in every concert program of the season.
Livestream Concerts
As we strive to present unique concerts while maintaining your health and safety, we will present concerts that you can experience from home. We strive to present video and audio quality that rivals our best-in-the-world live performances. The recording and production of virtual concerts presents additional costs for us, and we ask you to be generous when the donation opportunity arises.

Legacy Society
The Jean-Paul Bierny Legacy Society was established in honor of our past AFCM President and co-founder of the Festival. Many dedicated supporters find it advantageous to include AFCM in their will or estate plan. We appreciate their generosity and we can provide information to you, if you would like to consider it.
Ad Exchanges
We do ad exchanges with other non-profit arts organizations. The deadline for season program advertising
is August 1st.
Concert Sponsorship
Many of our audience members enjoy underwriting individual concerts that are particularly meaningful to them. Sponsors are acknowledged in the program and on a lobby sign at the concert, and have the opportunity to meet the musicians. The donation level for a full concert sponsorship is $5,000, and partial is $2,500.
Musician Sponsorship
Do you admire or enjoy a certain musician? You can sponsor his or her presence in Tucson. You will be acknowledged in the program and on a lobby sign and have the opportunity to meet the musician as well. The donation level for a musician sponsorship is $1,500.
For further information on all of the above, please contact Cathy Anderson at: info@arizonachambermusic.org
Music in the Schools
Each year, AFCM sponsors lively, interactive chamber music concerts in schools, with a special focus on schools with diverse populations. For $1,000 you enable the Southwest String Quartet or the University of Arizona Fred Fox Wind Quintet to perform for students, adding valuable music appreciation to a school’s curriculum. If you would like more information about sponsoring a school, please contact Leslie Tolbert at: tolbert@email.arizona.edu.
Gift Certificates
Perhaps you know someone who would enjoy one of our concerts. A gift certificate is the perfect way to share.
Commissions
Every season we commission new chamber works from interesting composers specifically tailored to great ensembles of our choice with the underwriting and participation of audience members. To date, AFCM has commissioned 78 works, making it one of the strongest commissioning programs in the U.S. Many go on to be recorded and are available online; several are available locally at our concerts. The most recent CD is Alchemy, released last spring. You can find the complete list on our website. If you are interested in considering a commission, please contact us at: commissions@arizonachambermusic.org.
