TACP is a chamber music educational opportunity offered twice a year by Arizona Friends of Chamber Music to amateur string, wind and piano players. This program brings together musicians from all over Tucson and Southern Arizona, helps to build musical communities, provides world-class learning opportunities, and brings the joy and passion of chamber music into daily life.

Who can join?
Any string, wind or piano player is welcome to join.
Are you dusting off your fiddle after 25 years away? Come join us!
Do you currently play with a chamber ensemble? Your group is welcome to join!
Are you an adult beginner? A semi-professional musician? This is for you.

How does it work?
Participants form chamber groups with the help of experienced coaches. Over the next two months, you have 8 90-minute coaching sessions. At the end, you get to show off what you’ve learned at a recital at Pima Community College Center for the Arts. Adults of all levels and abilities are welcome to join!

New participants are asked to attend an information session with the coaches and program director. This is a great opportunity for you to meet us, and for us to hear you play. After hearing everyone, we will build groups based on ability, and will assign repertoire that will be an enjoyable challenge for each group.

When and where do we rehearse?
Rehearsals arranged by each group based on mutual availability, and are held in the homes of the participants, at the home of one of the coaches, or, occasionally, at the Fred Fox School of Music.
