In 2016, Trevor Barroero and colleagues founded Lineage Percussion at the University of Georgia. Deeply rooted in a rich history of orchestral percussion play, Lineage Percussion seeks to preserve and expand upon the traditions and style of percussion performance set forth by their teachers, and their teachers’ teachers. The group has commissioned and premiered more than a dozen new works for percussion trio.
