The Jerusalem Quartet came to international prominence through its deeply felt performances of Shostakovich, and now seeks to find comparisons and contrasts in the quartets of that Soviet composer and Beethoven. By the way, if you’re keeping score and have noticed that a couple of Beethoven quartets are missing from our survey, join us in the fall of 2020 for the culmination of this mighty project.
